The Thomas Trust #28-1 (1105’ FNL; 1450’ FWL Sec. 28-T14S-R33W, Logan County, KS) was spud November 16, 2022, and subsequently plugged as a dry hole on November 30, 2022. Murfin Drilling Rig #102 provided rotary tools. Poor zone development confirmed with negative drill stem testing and open hole log evaluation was cited as determining factors in the decision to P & A. Independent Geologist Larry Friend provided on-site geological supervision. The wildcat well site was situated 22 miles southwest of Oakley, Kansas.
