Wieland A #14-1 (1508’ FNL; 2154’ FEL Sec. 14-T11S-R32W, Logan County, KS) was spud March 7, 2023, and drilled to an RTD of 4710’. The well was a southeasterly offset to the Johnson #14-1 (388’ FNL; 2644’ FEL Sec. 33-T15S-R14W), the discovery wildcat of the newly named Oakley Southeast Field. Wieland A #14-1 was unsuccessful in extending the geological feature identified in the Johnson #14-1. The well was P & A March 19, 2023, as a dry hole. Murfin Rig #8 provided rotary tools. Russell Oil Exploration Geologist Kitt Noah provided on-site geological supervision. The well site is situated 1.5 miles southeast of Oakley, Kansas.
