The GNC Unit #29-1 (2550’ FNL; 825’ FEL Sec. 29-T14S-R33W, Logan County, KS) was spud January 16, 2023, drilled to a RTD of 4630’, and plugged as a dry hole on January 25, 2023. Murfin Drilling Rig #8 provided rotary tools. Poor zone development confirmed with negative drill stem testing and open hole log evaluation was cited as determining factors in the decision to P & A. Russell Oil Exploration Geologist Kitt Noah provided on-site geological supervision. The wildcat well site was situated 23 miles southwest of Oakley, Kansas.
