Fossil Drilling Rig #5 spud the Hewitt #1-2 (2310 FNL; 2310 FWL Sec. 2-T21S-R12W) in Stafford County, Kansas on September 15, 2022. The well was drilled to a RTD of 3535’. Six drill stem tests were taken. Insufficient reservoir and oil recoveries, as indicated by testing and logs so the well was plugged and abandoned as a dry hole on September 25, 2022. Russell Oil Exploration Geologist Kitt Noah provided on-site geological supervision.
