The Johnson #14-1 (388’ FNL; 2644’ FEL Sec. 33-T11S-R32W, Logan County, KS) well was spud August 5, 2022, and drilled to an RTD of 4720’. A string of 5.50” production casing set. The Johnson #14-1 is a wildcat discovery in the newly named Oakley Southeast Field. Southwind Drilling Rig #8 provided rotary tools. Russell Oil Exploration Geologist Kitt Noah provided on-site geological supervision. The well was successfully completed and placed into production on September 19, 2022. Initial production rates average 40 BOPD, 10 BWPD. Todd Brown, Russell Oil Drilling/Production Superintendent provided well completion supervision. The well site is situated 1.5 miles southeast of Oakley, Kansas.
